Specializing in antiques, custom furniture, fixtures and window treatments. Platner & Associates also offers high-end sustainable living design. The philosophy is that style does not have to be compromised for eco-friendly design.

Platner has a natural ability to create classically comfortable homes with sophistication. Peggy adapts the client’s vision and translates it beautifully into a space that accents the client’s style. Believing firmly that a residence should flow organically from room to room; her projects are genuinely vibrant and alluring.

A passion for creating timeless, sophisticated interiors led Peggy Platner to found a full-service design firm, Platner & Associates.

Her innate ability to interpret, complement and enhance a client’s vision allows Peggy to adeptly create a refined, livable home that radiates elegance and warmth throughout. With a philosophy that interiors should reflect the personality and lifestyle of the client, rather than that of the designer, Peggy often collaborates with architects to customize even the smallest details of a home’s design from its inception.

Peggy draws inspiration from iconic Spanish revival architecture, her travels around the world and most of all, beautiful fabrics. Whether designing custom furniture, textiles and tiles or finding one-of-a-kind antiques, Peggy creates classic environments that appear to have evolved over the years, it’s no surprise that “timeless” is a word often used to describe her work.

Peggy developed a painterly eye growing up in the artists’ community of Laguna Beach. Prior to founding Platner & Associates Interior design in 2002, she enjoyed a successful career in high-end interior retail buying and management. Peggy is a member of the IIDA, the U.S. Green building council and holds a GREEN Leaders designation from the Sustainable Furnishings Council. Her work has been featured in Malibu Magazine and on the Fine Living and HGTV networks.
